Playing Catch-up

I have neglected this blog for long enough.  Now that I have a few moments, let's recap. Chloe started Daycare and has no greater joy than painting with her friends.  She can ride her bike, dress herself and loves to jump in puddles.  She is always on the lookout for a stranded worm to save(but not before she takes it for a ride on the tricycle).

Ben has become quite the writer and is a promising artist.  He just started taking yo-yo lessons from Steve Brown an amazing yo-yo world champion and the owner of quite possibly the coolest store in the Cleveland area, Shoparooni.

Chris has been hella busy with the art scene and has become, as my son would say, internet famous.  Crazy stuff and late nights are in the future for him.  I just hope he can find the balance he needs to keep sane.  You can check out his site for the complete scoop on all his new happenings at eatthefuture.blogspot.com.

On a sad note, our little rat terrier,  Lucky lost her battle with cancer this January 15th.  It was the coldest day of the year and left a huge hole in our hearts,  but she is now in a better place.  For all she has suffered I'm glad it is finally over for her so that she may at last find some peace.

It has taken both rain and sunshine in our lives,  but we have been rewarded with many a rainbow.

Who's Your Daddy?

Unexpectedly thrown upon you, but what an excellent father you are... Thank you for all that you are and everything you do. I love you.

Backyard Blast

Nothing says it's summer like a giant inflatable waterslide.   This is ten times cooler than the slip-n-slide back in the day.  The Bonzi it is eighteen feet of ultimate backyard entertainment and it has concussion written all over it.

Double Digits

Yep kids, it's been 10 years since the Valentis and Ryniaks tied the proverbial knot. Hard to believe, I know. Murphy's law has been in full effect for this most joyous occasion. Little miss Chloe got up at quarter to seven, took her diaper off and peed on the hallway carpet. Ben and his buddies were playing root beer bottle baseball in the backyard and smashed Chloe's bubble sword to a million bits. Chris spent all morning digging dirt listening to his ipod. At lunchtime we broke for subs and the baby got food poisoning as well as the cat. So, I'm sitting at home with a puking baby and cat while my boys are in Akron at a farewell barbecue for our very good friend, who will be leaving for Africa for two years. Did I mention just last week Miss Chloe took a flying leap off the end of the couch and ended up with a concussion? Never a dull moment in our house, that's for sure! Still, I'm glad this chaos is my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Thank you to my wonderful husband and best friend, Chris, for the best years of my life.

Role Call

I have long compared my family's adventures to that of the Griswald's and now I have a forum to share this with the world. Proof of the fantastic insanity that is the Ryniak Clan. Sure beats the hell out of scrapbooking.
